Valentine’s day decor is probably my favorite out of all the holidays, and not just because some of it is edible! ?
Maybe it’s because there’s a little hole in my heart from having to take down the Christmas decor, but decorating for valentine’s day definitely adds some needed cheer in the middle of winter.
Whether you’re celebrating a romantic dinner night in, or throwing a Galetine’s day fête, you probably want to keep your decor from looking like a middle school dance though, huh? ?
If you’re looking for elegant valentine’s day decor ideas to keep it classy not tacky, here are some fabulous ways to decorate for the holiday. These ideas are great for valentine’s parties, dinners, and even your office!
1. White And Gold Valentine’s Day Decor
Who says red decor is the only way to go for v-day? White and gold can give your space a romantic and classic look for the holiday.
Try using a textured white tablecloth to add some drama, and a few golden touches to make it sparkle!
2. Beautiful Mylar Balloons
Mylar balloons (aka foil balloons) are a timeless way to decorate for valentine’s day.
Try out the trendy rose gold colored balloons, and you can even deflate and reuse them the next year!
3. Pretty Pink Pastel Valentine’s Day Decor
A soft and sweet pastel tablescape is perfect for any valentine’s day party.
Light pink napkins, straws, and blooms add understated elegance, and pink treats will really tie the look together.
4. Classic Polka Dot Patterns
Polka dot is my favorite print of all, and it’s perfect for a runner on a valentine’s day tablescape or mantle.
Use this punchy pattern on wreaths, ribbons, or napkins, for an unforgettable valentine’s vibe.
5. Candy Hearts All The Way
The most beloved of all the valentine’s day sweets: candy hearts.
Okay, maybe chocolate is a little more popular, but these pretty pastel treats really brighten up any valentine’s day decor scheme!
6. Barely There Florals
Add an unexpected touch to your valentine decor with this wispy and elegant alternative to flowers.
You can get this barely there look with branches and heart garlands, and have an instantly eye catching centerpiece.
7. Dark And Moody Valentine’s Day Decor
The moody decor trend is not going anywhere, so why not embrace it for an untraditional valentine’s day table?
Use black kraft paper and some vibrant dark florals to create a dramatic and elegant look that will wow your guests.
8. Kissing Balls Are Perfect For Valentine’s Day
“Kissing balls” are the most name appropriate way to decorate for valentine’s day!
The round shape of these pomander flowers is timeless, and they looks great hanging from the ceiling with ribbon, or as a centerpiece.

9. Simple Valentine’s Day Banner
Nothing says celebration like a banner, and valentine’s day is no exception to this rule!
Try pairing your banners with a few garlands nearby to create an elegant look – no mantle required!
